Mallorca is one of the most acclaimed Spanish destinations by international tourism. It is located in the center of the Balearic archipelago and is recognised for being a beach destination, with coves, beaches, cliffs and a wide range of natural beauties in the villages located in the interior of the island, among them the Sierra de Tramuntana and many other secret places of Mallorca.
For some time now, Mallorca and the rest of the Balearic Islands have decided to remove the label of beach destination, focusing on becoming a source of inspiration for sustainable tourism, generating environmental awareness through different electric mobility projects.
Driveando: e-Tour to explore the historic center in an electric car
The alternative proposed by Driveando, is called e-Tour, one of our car experiences where you can get to know the best of the city of Palma de Mallorca, enjoying its historic center and a wide variety of locations included in the lists of popular tourist attractions that tourists usually consult when planning their trip.
This option is a unique way to see all the hidden sightseeing attractions in Palma de Mallorca, reaching them in total comfort and without harming the environment by emitting greenhouse gases. Book an e-Tour plan to get to know the capital city of the island and some top tourist destinations in its surroundings.
What is our Electric Car Tour: Palma and Surroundings?
One of our experiences with cars on the island, is an incredible trip through the historic center of the city of Palma, in a unique and fun way. Traveling in the small XEV YOYO cars, which are 100% electric and silent. There are three daily tours of the city, which have a duration of 2.5 hours accompanied by local guides.
If you organise a trip to this Balearic island, you will find it quite convenient to experience it from the driver’s perspective, and to access secret places in Mallorca that you probably would not reach by walking around the city or by public transport. In addition, during the e-Tour you will have a guide with whom you will interact throughout the tour around the city.
The itinerary of our e-Tour through Palma includes the following stops:
- San Carlos Military Museum, a place where you can learn all about the military tradition of the Bay of Palma and how it was once protected from pirate incursion.
- Palma’s Old Town, driving along the seafront promenade until you reach Plaza de Cort and stroll through the charming streets of the old town.
- Natural Caves of Genova, natural formation that was discovered in 1906 and is formed by different subway galleries where we will appreciate colourful mineral formations.
- Bellver Castle, a Gothic fortification from where you can enjoy the best views of the city, the Sierra de Tramuntana and the Port of Palma de Mallorca.
