The pearl of the Mediterranean
A genuine natural paradise, lost in the Mediterranean. Menorca is the best-preserved coastline on the Spanish coast.
Menorca’s position was strategic due to its natural ports, of great dimensions such as the Ports of Mahon or Ciutadella, which have marked the island throughout its history.
Menorca’s great historical heritage, its enormous cultural plurality and its customs, traditions and gastronomy are the indelible mark of the Byzantines, Greeks, Phoenicians, Carthaginians and Muslims, as well as the English and French.
The island of Menorca was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1993 thanks to its extraordinary environmental richness and its sustainable growth with the protection of natural resources.
